Design notes

I built Project Blue Whale from scratch in Unity. I studied the original Suika Game, recreated its physics merging with my own merge logic and scoring, and then added design changes of my own.

I handled development and visual direction: setting the art style and managing the commissioned artwork. Sound got the same care. Landings and merges have their own sounds and their own saved volume controls, so players can keep the satisfying pop of a merge and turn the rest down.

At the end of every game, the server checks the score against the number of drops and merges before it can go on the leaderboard, so a faked score can't take a spot.
